Nurturing the human resource
By:

Training of employees is an integral part for progress of any company.

Since, our productivity is connected to Breeding Level Business, at Venkateshwara Hatcheries, adequate care is taken that an employee acquires even the very minute knowledge and information of his area of work.

Talking of training, I would like to mention Dr B V Rao Institute of Poultry Management and Technology based at Urli Kanchan.

The institute, established in 1987 imparts training not only to its employees but also to franchisees and MNCs. It proves to be a great guide in imparting information in the business of poultry - Be it nutrition, immunology or genetics.

The institute has proved to be a great learning experience for many, since each and every course is tailor-made offering maximum hands-on experience to its students. One of its kind in the world, it is admired for its teaching processes, wherein practical knowledge rules over theory.

The excellent training reflects itself in the final product of the company in the market. Be it hygiene, freshness or quality of our chicken, VHG by stressing adeptness of every employee in his work has become a market leader.

Apart from effective training at VHG we follow a unique system of appreciation of an employees effort. Besides, personal appraisals, since our company units are spread all over the country, we have divided them into different zones.

These zones are rated according to their performance and awarded too. Without limiting the HR activity to just the workplace, we ensure that our employees, especially those placed in rural areas, get to lead a quality life.

We see that no stone is left unturned as far as their comfort is concerned. From a house to a satellite television connection, they deserve all comforts. I think these are essentials, which prove to be a great push at work too.

We also run a school at Sinhagad for our employees children. The school provides subsidised education to the children of all our staff without any discrimination be it a labourers child or a managers.
