Atleast 14 passengers were injured when Maharashtra State Transport bus heading towards Mumbai, on Monday lost control and rammed into a tree turning turtle.
Bus accident at the Pune-Mumbai Expressway

The accident occurred around 3 pm at Malavali-Lonavala Pune-Mumbai Expressway. The injured were rushed to Nigdi hopsital and are undergoing treatment. The injured passengers has been identified as as Sohil Rajmohammad Shaikh (15), his father Rajmohammad (40), Santosh Pandhurang Kakade (30), Jagannath Krishnappa Kotiyaar (45), his wife Shailya (35), Rajma Jabbar Pathan (65), Shabhnam Shaikh (20), Amprapali Dinesh Sonawane (19), Sagarbai Mohan Kakade (60), her son Dinesh (25), Puja Mohan Survase (19), Savita kakade (22). Kondabai Survase (70) and her granddaughter Payal (17).

According to Expressway control officer said, "The Maharashtra State bus (MH-14-BT-4710) was heading to Mumbai from Swargate with 46 passengers in it. The bus reached Aundh bridge at Malavali-Lonavala on Pune-Mumbai Expressway where another car coming from bridge was trying to overtake the bus. In order to get away from the car, the bus driver lost control over his dashed against the tree. 14 passengers were injuried and rushed to Lokmanya hospital in Pune."
