Pay homage to Beethoven
Mumbaikars will get to experience the artistic talent of master Korean pianist, Jinsang Lee — most known for his sensitive yet charismatic projection of sound — at a live concert next week. “This is the second time we are hosting Lee in Mumbai,” says Mehroo Jeejeebhoy, the founder trustee of the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation. Lee entered the international piano music scene, when he bagged three awards — the Audience prize, Mozart prize and the Schumann prize — at the Concours Géza Anda in 2009, making him the first person in the history of the contest to swipe all the top awards. The pianist, who has performed with renowned conductors, will be playing some of the most revered classical pieces, including the works of Beethoven, Brahms and Chopin.

Enjoy art that portrays Nandi
11AM – 7PM: Satara-based artist Satyajeet Varekar has translated his childhood memories to canvas in a new exhibition titled Folk Galore. This artist's paintings are expressions of growing up in a pastoral lifestyle. The Nandi, which is a much worshipped entity in rural Maharashtra, has been Varekar's subject for many years now.
