Sher-gil by a Hungarian artist
Hungarian artist Ms Ildiko Morovzski-Halasz is presenting an exhibition titled In The Wake of Amrita Sher-Gil . The artworks show her expressing herself through aquarelle and acrylic paintings, and give viewers a glimpse of how she sees India through its street life, celebration and the beauty of surprises that the country throws up for her. Ildiko's works are inspired by the famous oil paintings of Sher-Gil, who was half Hungarian. Her works had a distinct French influence in her depictions of self on the canvas. An avid traveller, she was also Call ed the Indian Frida Kahlo. Ildiko borrows some of her style to depict the way she sees the world around her.
