The accused Sachin Nervekar fled after the incident but the cops traced him based on his call details
A 15-year-old school girl was raped by her neighbour in Bandra on Tuesday afternoon. The accused forced the girl inside a room in his house and then raped her. The girl later complained about the incident to her sister, and filed a police complaint.
The accused Sachin Nervekar (19) had fled when the police searched for him but was found later in the evening and arrested.

Nervekar is the victim’s neighbour and was friendly with the family. On Tuesday afternoon, the girl went to Nervekar’s house for some food when he forced her inside the house and locked the door from inside.
He then proceeded to rape her and threatened her not to tell anyone. After the victim complained to her sister, an FIR was lodged with the Kherwadi police station. PSI Pravin Kharade said, “When our team reached the accused’s house he had already fled. Based on his call details we traced him near Bandra terminus late in the evening.”
Nervekar has confessed to the crime and will be produced in the Bandra court today. u00a0
