A tale of two kisse
Oct 28, 7.30 pm: Gogol ke Kisse is based on two short stories by Russian author Nikolai Gogol, The Overcoat and The Nose. The Overcoat begins with a rumour spreading through a city that a dead man has been appearing on a bridge and dragging everyone's coats off their shoulders without regard to rank. In Naak, or the Nose, Kovalev wakes up one morning and realised he has no nose. Naak is a satire on how we concentrate only on outer beauty and body and forget the soul.

Bend it with beeswax
Till October 31: Fractal Future marks 25-year-old Bhagyashree Suthar’s debut in the realm of art, as an artist and as a sculptor. The main medium used in her collection of works is beeswax. There are sculptures in a variety of sizes — ranging from one foot to four-foot tall. While the larger pieces took the young sculptor over a month to complete, the smaller ones took her about a week.

We loved them then, and now they are back with their yesteryear hits and a new single that lampoons all that plagues the country today. Here’s what we love best.
Dhoom Pichak Dhoom: In 1998, We all fell in love with the band, their sound and the video that was directed beautifully by Pradeep Sarkar in Varanasi. It was simple yet catchy, and Palash Sen’s vocals were a treat.
Maeri: Another melodious classic from the euphoria stable, this one also launched actress Rimi Sen’s career. It had lyrics we can never forget – “bindiya lagati toh, kaapti thi palken, maeri”.
Kabhi Aana Tu Meri Galli: We all met the fresh-faced Vidya Balan in this upbeat song. It was a love song that tugged at all our heartstrings – ‘Kya dekhegi tu Taj Mahal ko, Main na hu jo wahan’
