The Manpada police have arrested four accused Mamta Nishad, Vasubhai Ganote, Santosh Ganote and Munna Rai for kidnapping and raping a 21-year-old woman
The police picked up the accused after the victim escaped from the clutches of her kidnappers and reported the matter to the police. The police are still on the hunt for Vikas Balia, Golu, Dattu, Jeetu Nishad and Suraj. The police said they have dispatched their teams to nab the other accused too.
The victim was kidnapped from her residence at Badlapur and taken to Dombivli, where she was physically assaulted by the accused. According to the police, the victim was having an affair with one of the accused Jeetu. When Jeetu’s wife Mamta learnt about the affair, she decided to kidnap the 21-year-old.

After the victim was assaulted, Mamta asked the others to drop her back to Badlapur. However, the accused took her to Kharghar, where they raped her for two days. The police have booked the accused under section of IPC 376(2), 363, 366, 352, 324, 34, 141, 147, 149.u00a0
