A 25-year-old man died after he was trapped between a trailer and tractor during the Ganesh visarjan procession around 11 pm on Sunday. The incident occurred near Shivsagar Hotel on DP Road
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Vitthal Gaikwad from Vidhate vasti in Baner. Tractor driver Gokul Machindra Misal (35) of Baner has been arrested by Chatushrungi police in this regard.
Ankush Vitthal Gaikwad (23), brother of Santosh, has registered a case against Misal.
According to police, Santosh was seated between the tractor and trailer during the procession.

Misal who was driving the tractor lost control over the vehicle, due to which Santosh slipped and came under the wheels.
He died on the spot after being seriously injured. Assistant police inspector MN Walekar is investigating the case.u00a0
