Thane: Three persons, including a hotelier, have been arrested for allegedly murdering a young woman from the powerloom town of Bhiwandi in Thane, police said on Monday.
According to API Kundan Jadhav of Ganeshpuri Police Station, the trio--Abdullah Mohiddin Malbari (36), Siddesh Kadir Malbari (37) and Alihasan Mahaboob Hasan (26)-- were arrested last night. The body of the 26-year-old victim was found in bushes along the bypass between Vajreshwari and Ganeshpuri at Akloli on August 27, following which a murder case was registered, police said.

Probe revealed that the woman had been murdered at Akloli (in Bhiwandi) itself and she was identified as Yasmin Abdullah Malbari. Police said that prime accused Abdullah Mohiddin, who was into hotel business had married the victim. Yasmin was his second wife. The accused, who was apparently fed up with her constant demands, hatched a conspiracy to kill her.
As per the plan he called her to a place near Akloli on August 26 at about 2030 hours. There two of his servants from the hotel came, attacked the victim with a wooden log killing her instantly. Later, the trio dragged the body and dumped it in bushes.
Passers-by noticed it and informed the police. The body was sent for postmortem and later the offence of murder was registered.
