28-year-old woman commits suicide in Pune, blames no one

A 28-year-old BPO employee, who hails from Punjab, on Monday afternoon committed suicide at her rented apartment in Pune.

The police have identified deceased as Harpeet Kaur (28), who hails from Punjab and is residing at currently Sukata Housing society in Wakad, Pune. A case of suicide has been reported with Wakad police station.

Inspector N J Shaikh of Wakad police station said, "Deceased Harpeet was working in Wipro company in its Business Process outsourcing (BPO) for couple of years and was staying in Wakad with other roommates. The incident came to light on Monday afternoon around 3 pm when she was not opening the door and her roommate saw her hanging on ceiling fan. They broke the door and alerted us."

He added, "From her room we have recovered a suicide note in English in which she mentions that no one is responsible for her death. Its her willingness which has forced her to take such an extreme steps. Her parent are currently staying in Nashik. They have been informed about the incident. We are probing the reason for her death."
