A four-year-old boy died after falling into an open drain while playing outside his school in Vasundhara area of Ghaziabad yesterday.
According to reports, when Sunny did not reach home from school, his parents started looking for him. His body was found around 3 pm in the open drain just outside his school. Sunny was rushed to a local hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Locals said that although the drain is not very deep, the boy drowned as the drain got filled due to heavy rainfall in the morning. Sunny’s body has been handed over to the parents, and the district administration has ordered a probe into the matter. Also, an FIR has been registered, and police is probing the case.
The incident comes close on the heels of four-year-old girl Mahi falling into a 70-feet-deep borewell near Manesar in Gurgaon. She was pulled out dead on June 24 after 82 hours of rescue operation. Also, on July 5, a six-year-old boy had died after he fell into an open drain in Manesar.u00a0
