The institute has allegedly taken fees for a full-time course, whereas the Pune University shows it to be part-time.
A student said, "We paid Rs 2.3 lakh per head for the course, whereas the part-time course costs around
Rs 25,000. We want our money back."u00a0
The case was filed against eight management members on February 12 at the Pune lower court. The court asked Chatushrungi police station to investigate the matter and verify the authenticity of the university.

Absconding
On March 19, the police submitted a report stating that it is a part-time course. On the same day, the eight members filed for anticipatory bail in the sessions court.
The plea was rejected and they absconded. Meanwhile, the management approached the Mantralaya, higher and technical education department, to change the status of the course to full-time, claiming that the earlier government resolution (GR) had a printing error. The revised resolution was passed on April 1.

The members have now challenged the case in the Bombay HC.
Deputy Secretary of Higher and Technical Education Kantilal Umap, said, "We have sent another report." Sources from Mantralaya said, "Dina Institute did not send us complete details. The revised GR may be declared null."u00a0u00a0u00a0
Indrajyot Oberoi, founder of Dina institute, said, "The students are trying to malign us because of poor attendance. The Shikshan Shulka Samiti will now decide the course fees."
