Five employees of software major Infosys were killed and eight injured when their bus overturned near Belgaum yesterday.

Five employees of software major Infosys were killed and eight injured when their bus overturned near Belgaum yesterday. They were on their way to Pune after finishing their training in Mysore.

"The mishap occurred when the driver of the bus lost control while negotiating a sharp curve," said Sonia Narang, SP of Belgaum. Meanwhile, Infosys in a statement said, "We are saddened by the unfortunate road accident involving our employees."

Expressing its sympathies for the families of the deceased, the company said, "Help desks have been set up at our Mysore, Bangalore and Pune centres and we are in touch with the families of the victims."
