Kinesics
In an exhibition curated by Arijit Bhattacharya, the participating artists question notions of viewership through works that are subverted. Meet Shyamali Singhbal, Divyesh Undaviya, Ashish Dhola and Adhika Ferdinand through mixed media installations, drawings, videoworks and paintings. Watch out for Ferdinand's take on the objectification of the female form through an installation, and, interestingly, cookies.

FABRIK: On the Circulation of Data, Goods and People
If you missed going to the Venice Biennale in 2015, then here is a chance to catch at least a part of it. An exhibition of photographs and video, curated by Florian Ebner and Lars Willumeit, from the German Pavilion is in town. The exhibition raises the question of what images might represent today and serves as a parable for the metamorphosis of visual media, from pictures as classical recording to the processing and projection of images. Refugees, real and imaginary workers, nameless occupants of rooftops looking for freedom — all these people are part of the exhibition. The idea of circulation is a common trope running through the works — the circulation of images, of people, and of goods. FABRIK is divided between Galllery MMB and Chemould Prescott Road.
WHERE: Gallery MMB, Goethe Institut, Kala Ghoda; Chemould Prescott Road, G. Talwatkar Marg, Fort
WHEN: July 29 - August 16

Existential
At Clark House's project room, Prabhakar Kamble is showing a series of his installations. Kamble is interested in the promotion of Dalit literature and theatre. Many of these kinetic installations use figurines and doll heads, and indicate the existential crisis of the young artist. While at Clark House, also check out Narcissism and Social Interaction, curated by Parashar Naik.

Cut Price Paradise
Fans of Sarnath Banerjee, here is something for you. Six short, animation films that explore the idiosyncratic textures of urban life are playing at the gallery with the usual wry humour that we know Sarnath for. There's Hakim Tartoosi's Potency Oil (21 min), a clay animation piece that pokes fun at sexual insecurity in a conservative middle class environment. There's also Bengali Tourist (4 min), where the legendary explorer Ibn Battuta and a local Bengali named Digital Datta come together to question the value of travel.
WHERE: Project 88, BMP Building, Azad Nagar, Colaba
WHEN: Screenings
AT: 12 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm, until July 31
