Brigitte Bardot likes it loud. During the prudish 50s and the swinging 60s, the French actress' explosive sexuality took USA by storm. The 'sex kitten' didn't turn into an obscure hag once the wrinkles made their appearance, though. BB, as she is known among fans, turned into a vocal animal rights activist, and at 76, is now planning to run for the post of French president in the 2010 elections. 
Current President Nicolas Sarkozy 'took her for an idiot' by not keeping to his manifesto that promises to outlaw traditional Muslim treatment of animalsu00a0-- that's her reason to run for Prez.In a letter published in the French press, Bardot wrote: Because you do the opposite of what you say, I am studying a proposition from the Independent Ecology Alliance to be their presidential candidate in 2012.
What this means is that if elected, the controversial, outspoken septuagenarian might enforce a law that bans halal meat and ensures that animals are stunned before their throats are slit. After the ban on burqas, we are not too sure how the five-million strong Muslim population in France is going to take BB's move.
