The Bombay Natural History Society takes great pains to ensure that the flora and fauna of our city is appreciated and experienced by the common man. With this in mind, they’ve announced two surveys: moth night surveys and a survey for reptiles and amphibians. u00a0

These two are part of their ongoing bio-diversity surveys at their Conservation Education Centre (CEC) in the northern green lungs of the city, near the National Park. This is a bid to encourage the common man to evolve into a scientist for a day.u00a0

While the light trap method will be used to identify moths and their study techniques, the reptile and amphibian survey will use the line transact method. It’s a great way to get to the heart of the city’s green cover and marvel at some of its hidden natural treasures.
