The New Year is here once again. This Gudi Padwa, Mumbaichi mulgi, Vidya Malvade wants all things new. But for now, she shares some of the items that figure high on her most-wanted list along with some of her New Year resolutions:
A Blackberry instructor
I've just bought myself a Blackberry and still don't know how to use it. I'm extremely tech-challenged, so I'm frantically looking for a Blackberry guru to teach me how to use my own phone!
A maid
My friends say that I'm just like Monica from the TV sitcom Friends. Since I don't have a maid, I end up looking after all the domestic chores single-handedly. And I'm just such a freak that I might even wake up in the night and start clearing my wardrobe. I think I can do with a full-time domestic help.
Kathak lessons
I really want to get back to my Kathak lessons. As a child, I was a very sincere student and my teacher loved me. I would go for classes four times a week. Now I've become a little laidback and go whenever I can. I need to pull up my socks again, rather put on the ghungroos.
Shop stop
I'm a compulsive shopper and now I really want to put an end to all that retail therapy. There are so many clothes that I've never worn and still don't have the heart to throw away. I want to stop hoarding now. All that money could have gone to charity!
Yo yoga
When you're vacationing, the last thing you want to do is to exercise. My sister recently delivered a baby, so I went to visit her in the US for a month. I haven't been able to get back to yoga since, and it has been a good three months now. My body has desperately been asking me to get back to fitness.
