Pillai’s opening goal came in the first half off a pass from Maxie D’Silva from the right flank. Pillai then doubled the lead in the second session with a right-footed volley to seal the fate of the encounter.
Golden Boot
Though British Airways World Cargo lost their semi-final clash to Serco Global Services ‘B’ 0-2, they had something to cheer about nevertheless. British Airways’ striker Cleophas Fernandes, who scored 12 goals in the tournament, won the Golden Boot award — a prize cheque of Rs 20,000.
MiD DAY Infomedia Ltd’s Managing Director & CEO Manajit Ghoshal gave away the prizes.
The winners Hutchinson Global Services walked away with a cheque of Rs 100,000, while runners-up Serco Global Services ‘B’ were richer by
Rs 50,000.
