Infosys founder Narayana Murthy became a trending topic after reportedly endorsing a controversial suggestion that bribe givers be given legal immunity.
Shamim Chowdhury had a better suggestion: 'Make bribe giving and taking both legal, then add it to every bill as a kind of service charge.
Fix a percentage too.' Kanth Raj pointed out that, if this were to become legal, 'bus conductors won't return change.' And, in Raj Narayan's words, 'It already is legal! Bribing is most rampant in courts!'
Half Blood Prince?
Katrina Kaif was on a lot of people's mind this week, first for her birthday, then for comparing her half-Indian lineage to that of Congress scion Rahul Gandhi.
A certain Rohit tweeted: 'Rahul and Katrina are quite similar actually. She did Sheila Ka Jawani while the Congress keeps talking about Rahul Ki Jawani.'
Someone with the handle GreatBong added: 'Katrina comparing herself to Rahul is a perfect analogy. Similar intellect, similar talent, similar hype.'
Srinath Soman asked, 'Since Katrina's comment on Rahul being half-Indian and half-Italian did not go well, can we settle for a 70-30 deal?'
Out with a roar
Lion, the new version of the software that runs Apple Macs, was released and touted as the first operating system for the post-PC era.
Not everyone was satisfied. Like Brad Wilson, for instance: 'Dear Apple, it's 2011. Max 4GB on the MacBook Air is just ludicrous. Love, every single person.'
Or Georgia Popplewell: 'I keep waiting for Lion to do something really spectacular, like compose an e-mail all by itself.'
Also, Andy Lester: 'Sure, Apple, that Lion upgrade is pretty and all, but you do not just go and replace a man's Spongebob Squarepants wallpaper!'
