Still recuperating from his mother's death which happened due to cancer, Arjun Kapoor believes awareness is the best cure for the disease.

Keeping the faith
My mother (Mona Kapoor) always took the disease as a part of life and she believed that the phase would pass by. She lived a normal person’s life and expected us to treat her the same way. She wanted us to follow our everyday routine too. She didn’t want the lives of her near and dear ones affected by it. From her, I learnt how to stay strong in times of trouble and distress. Cancer is such a massive and dangerous disease worldwide. Every country is trying to find a cure for it. But as technology advances, we will definitely find a breakthrough like we have in the case of breast cancer.
Spread the word
I believe the more I can be a voice for cancer awareness, the more change I will be able to bring. I have seen cancer up close and personal. So, I can tell you what it is to be there. Not only is it a tough journey for the patient but also for his family members. So, whatever I can do in my own strength to spread the word, I will.
Deal with it
Dealing with such a situation isn’t easy at all. And I believe in ‘To each, his own’. I am still dealing with what happened in my life. I guess it takes a long time to understand and to come to terms with the gravity of the situation. But a whole-hearted support is a must. Support makes the patient’s struggle less painful. u00a0
