Special events to mark the legendary Bollywood comedian's 10th death anniversary
A series of events are being put together by legendary Bollywood comedian Mehmood’s brother filmmaker Anwar Ali to mark the actor’s 10th death anniversary on July 24.
The events will revive the magical moments of Mehmood, acknowledging his contribution to Indian cinema and his inspiring work spread over decades.
In the current scenario where almost every film has a significant dose of comedy and where the comedian is now the hero, the heroine or even the villain, Anwar Ali is keen to make the present generation aware about the wholesome entertainment provided by Mehmood.
The actor, who reigned in the ’70s, is best remembered for films like Padosan, Love in Tokyo, Aankhen, Johar-Mehmood in Goa, Bombay to Goa, Pyaar Kiye Jaa and Kunwara Baap.
