Abhishek Bachchan to be first Indian to play at NBA All Star

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan is poised to become the first Indian to take part in the National Basketball Association All-Star Celebrity Game. The Junior Bachchan will be attending NBA All-Star 2015 and participating in the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday, February 13 at Madison Square Garden as a goodwill ambassador to the league.

Abhishek, a self-proclaimed Los Angeles Lakers fan, will meet NBA players and legends throughout the weekend and will go behind the scenes at NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the 64th NBA All-Star Game. Abhishek will also be conducting a question-and-answer session with fans on Twitter.

"I'm excited and honored to be attending my first-ever NBA All-Star as a goodwill ambassador to the league," said Abhishek. "I know my trip will show fans in India the excitement, energy and athletic ability of the NBA game and its players. Basketball is my first love, and I look forward to supporting basketball's continued growth in India."

Abhishek's love for sports is no secret. He is the owner of Pro Kabaddi League Champion Jaipur Pink Panthers and Indian Super League franchise Chennaiyin Football Club.
