Councillor Shaikh Mohammed Feraz Iqbal Shaikh is an independent councillor from ward number 130, Shivaji Nagar, and Mohammed Nasim Siddique Kasami is his personal assistant. Feraz is also member of standing committee and supports the Shiv Sena in the BMC.
A transport businessman complained to the ACB office that Feraz and Kasami came across his vehicles at Chembur Naka. They allegedly demanded Rs 1, 00,000 for withholding their complaint from the vigilance department, BMC, claiming that the businessman had not payed the octroi. Feraz and Kasami later agreed to take Rs 50,000 from the businessman and demanded Rs 30,000 as the first instalment.
