Telugu starlet Anjali Dwivedi was shocked to find obscene photographs of herself on the microblogging site under a fake profile name. She has filed a case with the Malwani police against the unknown accused and got the account blocked
Telugu film actress, Anjali Dwivedi, found herself in the midst of a controversy, when she discovered that somebody had created her fake Twitter account and posted her nude photographs. Dwivedi has registered a complaint with the Malwani police station.
Anjali Dwivedi lives in Malad in a rented flat
Dwivedi, who is a well-known actress in Telugu movies, shifted to Mumbai a month ago from Madhya Pradesh, in order to find work in Hindi films. She stays in Malwani area of Malad, in a rented accomodation.
According to police officials, Dwivedi created a Twitter account to keep in touch with her friends from Rewa district in MP. However, she received a call from one of her friends, who informed her that there was another Twitter account in her name and there were a couple of nude photographs posted on it. When the actress logged on to the account, she found several nude photographs of herself, that were apparently ‘liked’ by other users.
A police official said on condition of anonymity, “The actress approached us to register a complaint, block the fake account immediately and to find the accused. We have registered a case and are taking the help of the cyber crime department to hunt for the accused. We have also blocked the account.”
