The Voice coach took to Instagram yesterday to share the final product of his massive tattoo, which was done by Bryan Randolph from Spider Murphy's Tattoo in San Rafael, Calif. Levine captioned the photo, "6 months in the making. Thanks @bryanrandolph for absolutely blowing my mind with this one! Woooo hooooo!!!!"
Levine's back tattoo features a siren — a winged mermaid from Greek mythology — holding a skull. The ocean surrounds the creature, with a ship on one side and the rising sun on the other.
The details in the background of the giant piece have covered up some of Levine's previous work, including a pin-up girl on his left shoulder and a paw print on his right shoulder.
Although the musician hasn't revealed the significance behind his latest body art, with the time and energy that went into it, it sure has to be something special.
