Enjoy and evening full of Bhangra and lots of folk dancing, while shopping for your favourite items

Add a folk twist to your Diwali celebrations

Typically crackers, sweets and shopping top the list for everyone in the city during Diwali. But you could add a twist to your celebrations with an evening of Folk dance. The Inorbit Mall has organised folk dance performances for its customers on Thursday.

The evening will see Bhangra dancers, dressed in the colourful Punjabi attire, perform for the visitors. “We have organised a series of folk dance performances for our customers.

We have dancers from Rajasthan, Nagaland, Kashmir and Punjab who will take the customers through Folk dances from their respective states,” said Shreyoshi Day, Marketing Manager, Inorbit Mall. The celebration will end on November 15, with Bhangra performances.

The energetic tone of Bhangra singers combined with dhol and chimta sounds has made it popular all over the world. And, considering the fast-paced music of Bhangra dance, it would also be a great way to lose the extra weight that you might have gained devouring the Diwali sweets.

If you fail to follow the footsteps, fret not, as the Bhangra dancers will help you learn the steps right on the spot. “The event will take place at the atrium inside the mall. While watching the show, the visitors can also enjoy various others games,” added Day.

At Inorbit Mall, Nagar Road.
On November 15, 6 pm to 9 pm
