Pandya, making his comeback after recovering from a left shoulder injury he picked up last year, looked in good shape and won both his singles and doubles matches.

Pandya first teamed up with Rohit Sadani to register a comfortable 21-9, 21-14 win over Kaushal S and Rohit Parekh. In the singles, he defeated Rohan Parekh 21-10, 21-15.

The 30-year-old now aims to reclaim the top doubles spot. “

Due to my injury, I couldn’t play last year. Hence, I don’t haveu00a0a ranking. I credit my physiotherapist-wife Urvi for my speedy recovery. Maharashtra Badminton League (MBL) was the first tournament I played after my surgery. Of the seven matches I played for my team Inspiring Eagles (that finished second in MBL), I won five. I am confident that I can get back to the top soon,” added the Juhu resident.
