After nails found on roads, puncture shops get warning

The police issued notices to owners of 10 tyre repair shops around Ambedkar Chowk in Pimpri on the Pune-Mumbai highway after seven bikers complained about vehicles getting punctured on Wednesday night as a result of nails strewn on the roads in the area.

“We suspect the role of puncture-wallahs who have set up shop on the highway,” Sub-Inspector Sarjerao Gavade said.

Banker Vinod Naik lodged the complaint in this regard.
