Air India and BPCL had a poor day in their last league outings losing to ONGC and DY Patil Group 'A' in the Rs 12 lakh prize money eighth All-India Dr DY Patil T20 cricket tournament in Nerul yesterday.
Air India will advance to the next stage, thanks to their two earlier victories. Batting first, Air India were restricted to 121 for six, only Prashant Naik (53) and Paul Valthaty (27) making significant contributions. In reply, ONGC achieved the target losing only four wickets.
Meanwhile, Saurabh Tiwary's 49 from 31 deliveries and a quick 30 by Swapnil Asnodlkar helped DY Patil reach 151 for nine from their 20 overs before restricting BPCL to 117 with an over to spare.
