Says a source, “The actress will apparently be performing to a medley of patriotic songs for the event. Abhishek Bachchan has also given his nod for the show.” Meanwhile on Tuesday, Madhuri Dixit shot for the promo of the initiative titled Saath Hai Hum Uttarakhand. Moved by the heartwrenching stories of children who lost their parents in the catastrophe, she is keen to return the smiles to Uttarakhand’s children.

Amitabh Bachchan, Abhay Deol, Neha Dhupia and Bipasha Basu have also shot for the promos. Other names likely to be associated for the cause include Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Anil Kapoor and John Abraham. The source adds, “The ad revenue generated during the telecast will be channelled to not-for-profit bodies that are working to restore normalcy in the hilly region. The stars and all those associated with the on-ground event for the performances have done it gratis to espouse the Uttarakhand cause.”
