Akshay Kumar is currently on a world tour for the premiere of his upcoming flick Chandni Chowk To China. After attending the first premiere in Los Angeles, he and the unit moved to New York City for the second one.
But on the same day, hours before his big premiere, Akshay arranged for a special trial for the South East Asian cabbies community with the help of his producer Warner Bros.
Cashing in
An insider reveals, "Akshay made the entry like he generally he does in movies: atop a yellow cab which is synonymous with New York City world over.
The actor wasn't accompanied by his leading lady Deepika Padukone as she was on interview duty with various media agencies." A majority of the cabbies in New York are Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi and Warner wanted to capitalise on this.
