Says Yardi, “What better date than May 3 to have the first day shoot of our film? Indian cinema began with a Marathi film and we’re glad to have gone full circle to launch our Marathi venture on the day.” India’s first film Raja Harishchandra (1913) made by Dadasaheb Phalke had a full Maharashtrian crew.

Anntar, a socio-political drama, stars Tanishaa Mukherjee and Sumeet Raghavan. Both make their acting debut in Marathi cinema. The cast also includes well known names of the Marathi industry which includes Mansi Salvi, Apeksha Dandekar, Vandana Gupte and Bharti Achrekar.
