England Test captain Alastair Cook was honoured with the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on Saturday. “This is a very special moment not just for me, but my family and friends. It’s a very proud moment to be awarded this,” Cook was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.
He also revealed the conversation he had with Prince Charles. “We spoke a little bit about cricket, farming and he wished me good luck,” Cook, who attended the ceremony with his wife Alice, added.
