England captain Alastair Cook expressed his frustration at the Decision Review System (DRS) not being used for the ongoing ODI series against India.
Cook indicated that Kevin Pietersen was wrongly given out (caught behind by MS Dhoni off Ishant Sharma) by umpire S Ravi. “It is frustrating when decisions don't go your way, but that happens in all forms of cricket especially without DRS,” said Cook.
Meanwhile ‘victim’ Pietersen was quick to tweet: “Why are my mentions full of the 3 letters #DRS ? Am I missing something? It must be pretty important if everyone is mentioning it? Hmmm..”
India continues to oppose the DRS system. Recently, West Indian legend and former ICC Cricket Committee chief Clive Lloyd said: “I don’t think it is fair (to refuse to use it). If everybody is using it (DRS), it should be a union.”
