Imagine yourself away from the noise of the city, in an idyllic environment, at 2,511 feet above the sea level with good music and love all around. That is what the JadhavGADH Music Festival promises to offer this year as well. To be held in the heritage fort of Jadhavgadh in Jadhavwadi, 22 km from Pune, the music festival has much more to it than just music.

JadhavGADH Music Festival is a fundraising event organised by Genesis Foundation to support critically ill underprivileged children. Prerna Sagar, founding trustee of Genesis Foundation, says, “Music brings people together.

This is a platform to enjoy good performances and meet great people that provide an atmosphere of joy while supporting a cause.” She adds, “Genesis Foundation has treated over 500 critically ill children thanks to our donors, friends, organisations, doctors, hospitals and institutions. Many more children will benefit from the ongoing fund raising activities Genesis Foundation does around the year.”

Swarathma performed at the festival last year

Genesis Foundation has several other fun events that are aimed at fund raising. Apart from this festival, the Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Festival is also organised with a similar objective.

JadhavGADH Music Festival has an interesting line-up this year. Some of the musicians and bands include Indian Folk-Rock band Swarathama, Indie rockstars Shaa’ir n Func, Rock band Parikrama and musician Geetu Hinduja among others.
The music event is spread across two days, the first day includes music performances and on the second day, guests can experience jamming and a scrumptious brunch.
