>> Won gold at the 2003 Afro Asian Games (Hyderabad) in the men's 10m air rifle competition. The quadrennial event is yet to be held since then.
>> Won four gold medals each at the 2006 Commonwealth Games (Melbourne) and the 2010 CWG (New Delhi).
>> Won an air rifle gold medal at the World Cup 2006 on the same day Barrack Obama was elected the 44th president of the United States of America.
>> Won gold in the men's 10 metre air rifle event in 2008 ISSF World Cup Final with a world record score. Gagan shot a perfect 600 in the qualificationu00a0round and scored 103.5 in the final round making total score of 703.5 to gain the world record.
