According to the announcement by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), it has started a huge protest against film and television workers. All the workers have started protesting outside Film City in Goregaon, Mumbai. Some production houses have cancelled the shoot today, including for shows such as 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'.

On the other hand, news is that producers like Rajan Shahi and Rashmi Sharma are continuing to shoot their shows. Rajan Shahi is continuing shoot of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' at Film City with police protection and Rashmi Sharma is also carrying on with the shoot of 'Shakti'.

Federation President BN Tiwari has said that he has got support from a lot of people.

According to a statement, the Federation went on strike since August 15, a move which could hamper the pace of the entertainment industry.

FWICE President BN Tiwari said in an interview with Jagran.com that he will not allow any serial or film shoot from Tuesday. BN Tiwari claims that he is getting full support from the workers. Tiwari further said that his organisation is fighting for the rights of workers.

BN Tiwari said that not just Mumbai, but wherever the federation members are working in the country, they will not shoot. Their teams have left for vigilance and will investigate in every corner of Mumbai to see to it that no one is shooting.

When asked about KBC, Tiwari said that he will not allow the shoot of any show for the next few days. He will ask the KBC workers to cooperate. At the same time, he said that he will ask Amitabh Bachchan and other stars to co-operate.

This strike has also impacted ongoing shooting in foreign locations. Tiwari said that for any Hindi movie being shot in Abu Dhabi, the workers were called from here, but they have stopped that too now.

Whenever Hindi film or serial shooting will use workers from here, they will be stopped from shooting. It is interesting to note that 'Tiger Zinda Hai' is being shot in Abu Dhabi. On the other hand, there are reports that the shooting of Anand L. Rai's film is going to start soon.

BN Tiwari said that many producers have filed case against the Federation in the High Court. Those producers have money to pay to expensive lawyers, but giving those workers who need help, they think is sin. The Federation personnel are fighting for issues such as long working hours, safety, salary hikes, proper eating arrangements and clean toilets.

Will this strike be harmed by workers? On this, BN Tiwari says that the workers are still struggling and we are demanding for their rights. It is to see what happens to producers. At present, for 10 days, we are not going to move one step too, he said.
