The 26-year-old, making her 10th straight appearance at the year’s opening Grand Slam, beat the Netherlands’ Kiki Bertens 6-4, 6-4 to stay on track for a possible Round Four clash with Serena Williams.

“The draw is tough for me, but I’m playing well and that’s all I can do. It was a very up and down match, a lot of nerves, but I am happy and thrilled to be through,” Ivanovic said.
