Hyderabad: National Games in 2019 would be held in Andhra Pradesh, Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman P R Mohan said yesterday.
The Indian Olympic Association, at its meeting held in Guwahati today, agreed to the proposal to host the Games made by the SAAP Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association General Secretary Purushotham and other sports officials from the State, Mohan said in a release.
The IOA delegates agreed to the proposal as they have immense faith in the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, it said.
The delegates at the meeting recalled the Afro-Asian Games conducted in undivided Andhra Pradesh during Naidu's earlier tenure as Chief Minister, the release added.
