Behind every successful man, there’s a woman, they say. And West Ham striker Andy Carroll is no exception to this rule. The Hammers’ star scored what could well be the goal of the season recently with his acrobatic conversion against Crystal Palace. And as it turns out, he has his partner, Billi Mucklow, to thank for that goal-den moment.

Carroll scored off a sensational scissor kick against Palace, and Mucklow, who runs a yoga therapy centre, must be handed some of the credit for the strike.

Mucklow has always encouraged Carroll to do yoga and more so when he was away injured for a considerable period recently. And now, with his recent return from injury leading to success, Carroll has not been shy in expressing his gratitude to his partner.
“It (yoga therapy) has helped me a lot, especially when I’ve been injured,” he told Sky Sports.
Mucklow meanwhile, posted a picture of Carroll’s super strike on Instagram with the caption: “Looks like the Yoga’s Working. @andytcarroll.”
