Often praised for his youthful looks, actor Anil Kapoor says he believes in investing in his health and advises his children to do the same rather than spending in luxurious purchases and properties.
The 59-year-old 'Dil Dhadakne Do' star, who has three children - Sonam, Rhea and Harshvardha, says he swears by the saying 'health is wealth' and never hesitates to spend his money on his health and wellness.
"I keep telling my kids and my family members that buy less properties, less of jewellery and expensive bags, and rather spend on being healthy. We all should spend our money to maintain our good health," Anil told reporters while announcing the 17th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards to be held in Madrid, Spain.
Anil said he frequently visits health spas across the globe and recently stayed for a week at the Vivamayr Medical Spas in Austria to rejuvinate himself.
"I just came from Vivamayr, which is a health spa in Austria. I went there to detox myself. I was there for eight days. It was wonderful being there and one of the best experiences of my life."
Besides Anil, many other Bollywood celebrities are said to have visited spas in Austria for weight loss and health reasons.
The actor's son Harshvardhan is all set to make his Bollywood debut this year with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirziya".
When asked if he will star in a film with Sonam and Harshvardhan, Anil said, "I don't mind. If there is a script which will give an equal opportunity to all of us then why not."
