MiD DAY had first reported how the trio allegedly forged Kaka’s thumb impressions on a will. The case will come up for hearing on February 14.

Advani confirmed, “I have made a complaint against the family.” Her lawyer Manohar Shetty added, “It is a private complaint which names six accused — Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Dimple Kapadia, senior advocate Javed Hashmi who is their lawyer, and two doctors.” The allegations are for house trespass, robbery, lurking house trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint, forgery of will, criminal force, criminal intimidation and criminal conspiracy. Shetty alleged, “On June 19, 2012 Akshay, Dimple and Twinkle, on the pretext of visiting Rajesh Khanna, gained entry to his room and made Advani leave. Obviously, Khanna was in delirium and in no position to discuss testamentary matters. In the complaint, Advani has alleged that Akshay, Twinkle and Dimple discussed division of property and preparation of a will.” According to Shetty, the next day, the trio returned with a couple of doctors and their lawyer Hashmi, along with a will. They then obtained Khanna’s thumb impressions on the document and left. Shetty added that Advani has everything on video.

Shetty said, “A day before his death, Advani had sent Khanna a legal notice staking her claim in his property. Despite this, without giving any notice to her, the family obtained a probate for the will from the Bombay High Court. We have learnt that the probate was granted within a record 29 days, whereas the normal time frame to complete probate formalities ranges takes months or even years.”

He added, “Twinkle ought to have known that Advani had staked an adverse claim on Khanna’s property, and disclosed this in the application for probate.” Shetty also said that Advani had faced problems getting a copy of the will from the High Court.

A family friend of Akshay Kumar, who did not wish to be named, said, “The will was signed in front of the court registrar and notarization was also done. Advani has been raising false allegations against the family and trying to get money by blackmailing them. It has been exposed that she is married, whereas earlier, she had been saying she was not.”

Senior advocate Javed Hashmi said, “My role in the complaint would be limited in that I was Rajesh Khanna’s lawyer. I have nothing to do with the rest of the family. The will was executed in accordance with the law of the land and everything Advani says is completely false.”u00a0
