Anne Hathaway unintentionally threw some major shade at the Kardashians — before quickly back-tracking in the most ladylike of ways.

The 33-year-old actress posted a picture of her Alice Through The Looking Glass co-star Helena Bonham Carter on her Instagram page.
The photo was part of a meme which read: 'In a world of Kardashians… Be a Helena Bonham Carter.'
This instantly had the Kardashian army calling her out for serious shade throwing and for picking on the family for 'no good reason'.
Anne seemed to be so taken aback by the accusations that she quickly deleted the said meme and replaced it with another image, this time issuing a huge apology to the famous clan.
With a simple pale pink background and white writing, the new post read: 'Post removed for unintended shade thrown.'
And, to make sure her apology was seen as genuine, she further said sorry in her caption, writing alongside the meme: 'It never occurred to me I was pitting anyone against each other. Not my style. Peace x.'
