While Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters held protests outside Delhi Police headquarters and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where the victim is hospitalised, members of the Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prepared to march towards parliament seeking amendments to the anti-rape law.

Women's groups were jointly holding a protest at Jantar Mantar.

There was also heavy deployment of police force at India Gate, the scene of major protests following the Dec 16 gangrape.

Scores of angry protestors Sunday stormed the barricades outside the residences of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
