  Q. What can we expect from the republished avatar of The Zoya Factor?
A. The book has always been in print and has been doing well. This time, it is being republished with a naughty cover that was at the back of the book. It is now coming to the front and is a chapter. The chapter is a flashback of Zoya’s life when it wasn’t that great, a bad patch of sorts.

Q. It’s been eight years since your first book was published. How has the journey been?
A. I am happy. I don’t need to go to office and write and read a lot. It has been a great journey actually. When The Zoya Factor was published eight years ago, I had no clue that it would turn out the way it did. But now I feel the pressure. When I sit to write something new, I am careful that I don’t get repetitive and the stories are not similar to the four published books.

Q. Are you working on a new project?
A. I am working hard on a new book that is set in the air force. It is a bit like Zoya because there are a lot of men involved doing men things. It should be out by November.

Q. What have you been reading?
A. I picked up a lot of books during the Jaipur Literary Festival this year. And have started reading Indian authors. The last book that I really liked was Em And The Big Hoom by Jerry Pinto. It is a lovely book and it was nice meeting Jerry at the festival too.
