Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is all praise for Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor for giving an opportunity to the new breed of filmmakers in their films.
"First Ruchi Narain and now Akshay Roy. Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor are doing what most big studios were scared to do. More power to them," Kashyap tweeted.
"Akshay Roy is really a super director... has been waiting for so long to make his first feature, really looking forward to it. Also, there is Sonam (not Kapoor) whose film is being produced by Karan Johar. Another very interesting filmmaker. Hope more people follow," he wrote.
Karan has roped in Ruchi, who wrote "Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi", for his untitled film, while Akshay would helm Karan-Ekta's joint production venture.
