The movie is the last directorial of late filmmaker Yash Chopra, who passed away earlier this month. The audience will discover the entire story of the film through Akira's eyes.
'We are honoured to have associated with one of India's foremost film stalwarts - the late Yash Chopra,' Rahul Johri, senior vice president and general manager - South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, said in a statement. A Yash Raj Films (YRF) official is also hopeful this integration will work in favour of both - the movie as well as the channel.
'We wanted to associate with the leading non-fiction channel and we are happy to partner with the world renowned Discovery Channel. We are certain that viewers will enjoy Anushka's refreshing character as a Discovery Channel employee,' said Ashish Patil, vice president, YRF. The film, said to be a love triangle, also stars Katrina Kaif, and is slated to release this Diwali, Nov 13.
