US and other foreign missions have stepped up security following violent attacks that began on Tuesday.

Lebanese security officials say one person has been killed and 25 wounded after clashes between police and protestors. Officials said the agitators set fire to the KFC/Hardee’s Tripoli branch. The man suspected of producing a crude film lampooning the Prophet Mohammed has been placed under police protection after protests erupted around the world. Journalists gathered outside the home of a 55-year-old Coptic Christian, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, in California after reports he had directed the movie that triggered protests in the Muslim world.
