Ranchi: The Jharkhand government on Friday decided to give a plot of land to Deepika Kumari for her contribution in archery.
The government gave 4,500 square feet of land at the Harmu Housing Colony "for her remarkable contribution in the field", a statement said.
Former World No 1 Deepika was part of the Indian women's recurve team that won silver at the recent World Championships in Denmark
Jharkhand has previously allotted 4,000 sq ft of land to India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
