Drake had previously called the 28-year-old singer “the ultimate fantasy”.
He said: “She’s the ultimate fantasy. I mean, I think about it. Like, ‘Man, that would be good.’ We have fun together, she’s cool and s**t. But we’re just friends. That’s my dog for life.”
Drake, in 2011, had said that Rihanna had unintentionally broken his heart with their on/off relationship, which came in the wake of her split from singer Chris Brown.
He said: ‘’At the time it hurt, but she didn’t mean to. I’ll never put that on her. I was hurt because I slowly started to see what it was. I guess I thought it was more.’’
Meanwhile, their night-out together is sure to come as a surprise to Hailey Baldwin, who is reportedly “casually dating” the 29-year-old rapper after they “hooked up” over Memorial Day weekend.
A source said: “Drake and Hailey are dating super casually, but he is really into her. They met through mutual friends and are taking things slow.”
An eyewitness who spotted them on a recent dinner date said: “They kept close to one another, but weren’t super affectionate since they knew people were watching.”
